Mandi Maxwell

Mandi, born and raised in Winnipeg, founded Invincible Emu Productions in 2010. Her recent endeavors include being cast in Bruce McCulloch’s new TV series Young Drunk Punk, a regional commercial for AUPE’s The Alberta Way, MindFuel’s grade 7 Ignition Pack educational videos, in which she was the host, and SAIT Polytechnic’s My Life Is a Musical, a short musical film that won Best Student Production at the 2014 Alberta Film and Television Awards. Within the last few years, she performed in a total of 602 performances at Celebrations/Jubilations Dinner Theatre, notably Bernadette in the 11 month Canadian musical tour of The Big Boom Theory 2: Time Travelling Geeks.

Mandi is a graduate of the Academy of Acting (Winnipeg) and a recent student at the University of Alberta where she studied Baby/Advanced Pochinko Clown with Jan Henderson. She has also studied voice acting at ToonVox with Jonathan Love & Brad Belden in Calgary, improv with Laura McGhee at The Second City in Los Angeles, and had private animation voiceover training with Kirby Morrow in Vancouver, among other various workshops and courses.

Kevin P. Gabel (Empty Sea Company)

Kevin is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg honours acting program, having performed there in such plays as The Possibilities, Sainte-Carmen of the Main, and The Dumb Waiter. Other credits include Proud (Theatre Projects Manitoba), Lion in the Streets (Black Hole Theatre), and Eden (Sarasvàti). Last year he wrote and starred in the one-man show Undress Me, which played in the Winnipeg and Calgary Fringe Festivals and was nominated for the Harry Rintoul Award for playwriting. His current role is Fred in Noël Coward’s Fallen Angels for the Winnipeg Master Playwright Festival. He has upcoming roles in Sarasvàti Productions’ world premiere of Catherine Banks’ Miss N Me and Absolute Zero Theatre’s The Seventh Guest. Kevin has written and directed several short films (including the recent Seven Drinks), and acted in such film projects as Passionflower.
